the boy with 28 candles

Friday was one of my favorite holidays ever. Danny’s birthday. he thinks I am being sarcastic when I say that but it’s the truth. reasoning? A) I love that he was born B) I love that he gets celebrated C) I love any excuse to buy him gifts and D) when it comes to his birthday, he is like a kid. he looks forward to his birthday and wants to spend the day celebrating with friends, eating good food. and that’s just what we did. also his one request for his birthday every year is that he gets the amount of candles for his age. 28 this year. it’s kinda funny now, but wait another 50 years when it takes me 20 minutes to light the candles on his cake. the birthday weekend included our all-time favorite salad and coconut shrimp at the country club, movie with friends, presents (shoes!), teppanyaki in SLC, keys on main- dueling piano bar, lava flow with a cherry on top, family dinner with his mom’s famous corn bread, Sunday walk, chocolate eclairs, fire pit chillin', and catching the wild bunny in the yard. I say it was another success. happy birthday love! 28 looks reaaall gooood on ya.
