FLORIDA @ the Miami Beach Bowl

a bird pooped on danny! not gonna lie, i thought it was the funniest thing..

star fruit! ^^^ this was my favorite thing as a kid! 

we were very lucky and got to go to Florida with the BYU football team (and danny's family) to the Miami Beach Bowl. we stayed right in south beach at Loews Hotel. supa nice. i mean that view? that pool? yes please. went to a couple movies. played many hours of cards. went to the Heat game. ate lots of yummy food! long walks on the beach. danny and i have been pretty spoiled and have been able to travel lots lately. although we still want to travel the world once this baby comes- it's been really nice to not have to worry about a little one, a stroller, and all that jazz. this is a time in our lives we will never forget! 

(except hopefully we forget the fact that BYU lost their game....)

NEW YORK

New York! i love this city. so many times i caught myself brainstorming how danny and i could make it work to move out here. such a fun place to be. i went out to visit two of my best friends, who i played soccer with at BYU. a couple days we stayed at uncle phillips apartment in the city- and i mean that view? seriously? that's what i woke up to. unreal. we were able to do so much in the time we had there. (plus i got all my christmas shopping done which i'm pretty pumped about). Christmas time in New York is one of my favorite things. all the lights, the music, the ice skating, the window displays- i die. we went to Rockefeller Center, Broadway, Soho, Central Park, Times Square, Chelsea Market, Grand Central Station, Greenwich Connecticut, and more. had the best scones at Alice's tea cup. can't forget about the doughnuts at the Doughnut Plant. and that wall of pillows is kind of perfect. we also ordered warm cookies and milk, delivered to our apartment (!!!) at 1am. yeah as you can tell we ate really healthy...

thanks for having me! the trip was an absolute dream. babe and i miss you guys already! 

CAL vs. BYU

if you don't know by now, i'm obsessed with my niece and nephew. seriously bailey girl has more personality than any human i've ever met. and collin is the smiliest, most patient little brother i've ever seen. this duo gets me every time. 

we were in union square for the tree lighting ceremony. it was also black friday. annnd there were also lots of protesters due to the ferguson case. to say the least, san francisco was crazzzy.  

it's still so weird to see myself with that belly. i will walk by a store window and do a double take. sometimes i forget im pregnant but then this little guy reminds me and starts kicking and moving like crazy. he's a wild one.

we were in the bay for about 30 hours total. it was so great to spend time with both of our families. i am lucky to get to see my peeps so often (although i'll admit it still feels like not enough). i always leave home looking forward to the next time i get to come back. and also, i'm pretty sure our babe can't wait to meet his cousins/aunts/uncles/and grandparents.
