the Holmoes are takin' on the city.. and I'm loving every second. growing up in the Bay, I have appreciated the area and all the beauty, character and history it holds. I love staying in the heart of the city; so much to see and do in walking distance (also great shopping). so far- its been a blast. Danny, Erik, Ted and I went to the Forty Niner game- the last game at Candlestick Park. it was awesome to get to witness this little part of history for the team and the city. since Danny's dad played and coached for the Niners, it was cool to be a part of this memorable night. celebrated the win with lots of crazy fans and lots of fireworks. I was also introduced me to Eddie Debartolo Jr.- if you follow the Niners you'd agree thats pretty cool. oh and Super Duper burgers are super duper. I'd love if this trip didn't fly by.. just too much fun. hopefully my heart makes it back home with me!

Sushi selfies

can we discuss mondays for a second. 99% of mondays just suck. we don't get along very well. this monday was a long one. cold train ride, long day at work with boring meetings, just all around tired and we got rear ended. but this monday night, we went to sushi in park city with a group of friends. turned my night around real quick. a vegas roll will come and go, but friends last forever... orrrrr something like that. anyways instead of a group picture, I passed my phone around for selfies. here are the results...

probably not the selfies you would get from a normal group of people. but we pride ourselves in that. did i mention we also went to ice cream? JAVA COW. java yum.

k bye!

If you live in Provo or St. George (or close to) and you know what's best for you, get over to Swig and get yourself a treat! I HIGHLY recommend a sugar cookie and dirty diet coke. Trust me, you will not regret it.

Pjs, friends, and lots of sugar.

Ladies and gents, it was time for the annual Christmas PJ party! Guaranteed a good time when we squish our favorite people in our little apartment. It would be a shame if I didn't acknowledge the life of the party... baby bulldog named Tiny.
Don't you just want to squeeze her cute little wrinkly body?

My heart is full of love for all these great people in my life. I'm already looking forward to next year's shindig: onsies & sugar comas... watch out 2014.

Peanut butter goodness. The ingredients for these cookies are perfectly combined for a gooey, crumbly, TASTY piece of heaven. Make them for your family, or be the hero and bring them to your next party.

Oh.. and these are EASY.

Ingredients
  • 48 Hershey's Kisses chocolate candies
  • 1/2 cup shortening (I used Crisco)
  • 3/4 cup Peanut Butter
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 sugar, for rolling

Instructions
    Cookies
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and line cookie sheet with parchment paper. Remove wrappers from chocolates.
  2. Beat shortening and peanut butter in large bowl until well blended.
  3. Add 1/3 cup granulated sugar and brown sugar; beat until fluffy.
  4. Add egg, milk and vanilla; beat well.
  5. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt; gradually beat into peanut butter mixture.
  6. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Roll in sugar and place on prepared cookie sheet.
  7. Bake 7-8 minutes or until lightly browned.
  8. Immediately press a chocolate into center of each cookie; cookie will crack around edges. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely. (I put them in the refrigerator right away for 20 minutes so make sure the kiss was set)
